Anger Management
Anger is an emotional state that can range from mild irritation to intense fury and rage. Like other emotions, it is accompanied by physiological and biological changes; when you get angry, your heart rate and blood pressure increase, along with the levels of energy hormones such as adrenaline and noradrenaline.
Anger can be triggered by both external and internal events. You might feel angry at a specific person, like a coworker or supervisor, or about a particular situation, such as a traffic jam or a cancelled flight. Additionally, your anger might stem from worries or brooding over personal problems, and memories of past traumatic or enraging events can also prompt angry feelings.
If you find that you’re constantly angry and that this anger is taking over your life, it may be time to consider anger management.

What to expect in Anger Management
Anger management can help you recognize your anger triggers and understand how you typically respond to them. Once you recognize your patterns of triggers and responses, you can begin making changes to reduce your anger. At first, it may be hard to talk about past experiences or current concerns. Sessions may stir up intense emotions. It is possible to experience feelings of upset, anger, or sadness during anger management. However, anger management can help people build confidence and become more comfortable as sessions progress.
Program Requirements
- Weekly sessions are recommended; at a minimum, you must attend every two weeks.
- You can not attend more than one session a week.
